The amount of weight you can expect to lose depends on various factors, such as your starting weight, your current lifestyle, and your commitment to the program.
Everyone is different, and it can take anywhere from 2 weeks to 16 weeks to see weight loss results. The important thing to remember is that nearly everyone does lose weight Semaglutide eventually, but the dosage needed to make an impact on an individual varies widely.
Everyone taking Semaglutide for the first time typically will begin on the starting dose of 0.25 mg injected per week, unless there are specific reasons to alter the initial starting dosage that are specific to an individual.
Patients participating in GLP-1 Weight Management programs must be no more than 75 years old and at least 18 years old. Patients enrolled in medical weight management programs must be no older than 70 years old and at least 18 years old.
Most patients will utilize the Semaglutide for 3-6 months but treatment can be longer or shorter depending on the individual.
There are no particular foods that one MUST avoid while on Semaglutide but in order to lose weight most effectively, it’s a good idea to start diet modifications that can continue long-term. Also, in order not to contribute to possible side effects such as nausea, diarrhea, and constipation, it would be wise to avoid oily and fatty foods, or foods high in sugars as well.
